Synchronisation With TeamDrive you can keep your data synchronised between various computers and smartphones simply and automatically. It’s child’s play to share music, images, documents or folders of any sort with friends, family or work colleagues. TeamDrive is available for all standard operating systems - Windows, Mac and Linux as well as for iOS and Android phones and tablets Photo upload The TeamDrive iOS App includes the direct upload from the Camera App into a TeamDrive Space/Folder. Offline synchronisation Using a TeamDrive server makes it possible to synchronise data reliably even if one or more computers or smartphones are offline or switched off. As soon as the computer goes online again, the data are synchronised automatically. You can therefore work on your documents on a plane or train, for example, without an Internet connection. Option of synchronising directory only With TeamDrive you can choose to transfer the directory of the folder only. In this way, you can decide which files you want to download. The following data are contained in the directory: file name, time of most recent changes, versions, author and comments.
This enables you to download only the data that you actually need, which is especially useful if you have a slow Internet connection or insufficient disk space on your computer. Collaboration TeamDrive makes it possible to create teams easily to work together on documents (online and offline collaboration). By means of the integrated version management system, all changes to documents or files are recorded automatically, so that every change can be tracked. Management of access rights There are four different levels of access that you can allocate to individual group members: Download onlyFiles can only be downloaded by the group member; changes made by that member are not uploaded. Read/WriteFiles can be edited by the group member. SuperuserFiles can be edited by the group member and the group member can invite additional participants. Administrator The administrator can also remove group members and delete files from the server permanently. Version management With the TeamDrive version management system (versioning), you have the option to go back to earlier versions of documents and to track all of the changes made by group members. For example, if you are working on a contract with several other people, you will always know which version is the latest and who made which changes and when. Comments Every group member can add as many comments to each individual version of a file as he or she wishes. Alternatively, these comments can also be sent simply by e-mail to individual group members or to the whole group. Conflict management TeamDrive reliably identifies any conflicts that may arise from simultaneous editing of files by different group members and offers a simple solution for resolving those conflicts. Publishing individual files You can publish individual files to give people who do not yet have TeamDrive access to those files. TeamDrive generates a link to achieve this, which you can send by e-mail or instant messenger (IM), for example. The file is copied for this purpose and uploaded again to a TeamDrive server in an unencrypted format. Security The security and confidentiality of your data is the highest priority for TeamDrive. Before TeamDrive transfers your data, they are encrypted on your computer (AES-256). Only you decide who has access to your data. TeamDrive has been awarded the Data Protection Seal of Privacy of the ULD. Backup An encrypted back-up copy of all of your data is automatically saved on one of TeamDrive’s servers. If you lose your computer or it breaks down, you can restore your data easily. Free choice of server TeamDrive offers two alternatives for synchronising and safeguarding your data reliably: either you can use the TeamDrive Cloud Services, which means that we take care of everything, or you can use your own servers.
